JEFF STOYER

Born into the realm of 3D animation during the mid to late 1980s, Jeff Stoyer embarked on a journey that would see him become a maestro of the digital arts. His passion for creativity was ignited during his college days at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he initially pursued Graphic Design and Environmental Design.

Amidst the limited palette and capabilities of early animation tools like Atari’s Aegis Animator and the groundbreaking potential of CAD 3D, Jeff found his calling. Through dedication and self-taught expertise, he delved into the intricacies of Cyber Paint, Cyber Texture, and Cyber Sculpt, sculpting his skills pixel by pixel. His thirst for knowledge led him to explore every avenue available to him at the time, from Spectrum 512 to Crystal 3D. 

In the early 1990s, Jeff’s talents found a professional outlet at The Image Producers Inc., where he honed his craft further with Cubicomp Picturemaker and True Color Paint. Building off of the inspiration of the industry innovators, he refined his skills, pushing the artistic and technical boundaries of what was thought possible with such early software.

Jeff’s journey took him to Matchframe, a San Antonio-based production company that specialized in VFXs, and beyond as the years unfolded, where he embraced newer technologies like Softimage XSI and Flame/Inferno. With each decade, he adapted and evolved, seamlessly transitioning from one software to another, always staying at the forefront of innovation.

Today, Jeff stands as an Animation Director at Geomedia, a virtuoso of 3D animation with an unparalleled wealth of experience. His passion for his craft burns brighter than ever, fueled by the joy of creation and the pursuit of artistic excellence. With each project, he seeks to surprise and delight clients, adding that extra touch of magic that sets his work apart.

 Beyond his professional life, Jeff finds solace in his hobbies, whether it’s building a treehouse for his daughter or a shed in his backyard. His love for architecture and design spreads throughout every aspect of his being, infusing his work with a sense of creativity and innovation that knows no bounds.
