Using an assortment of visual effects, a neighborhood Shamrock gas station transforms into a Valero branded corner-store over a 24 hour cycle. The spot also received an Addy Award, earlier this year.
“The effects are subtle, but substantial” said animation director Troy Davis. “In fact, you can watch the spot several times and still not catch all the small effects taking place on screen. But the visuals work together effectively to drive home Valero’s re-branding message.” he added.
Others who contributed on the commercial were Laszlo Rain and producer Kim Wright. The Aurora Award is an international competition and is judged by panels of film and video professionals set up in major cities across the country.
