Storytelling From Behind The Scenes
A Tribute To Our Dedicated Crew Who Make Our Work Stand Out
Behind the scenes, immeasurable time and planning go into Geomedia’s visual storytelling process. It is often the extra mile that our team goes, where we bear witness to the unique talents and offerings each person provides.
Today we want to give a shoutout to the crew – the players who strive to create “movie magic” every single day. We work confidently beside you, recognize your hand in what we create,, and we are grateful to walk away from set at the end of the day, knowing that we have captured the best shots for our clients.
This year’s University Health broadcast and digital campaign is a perfect example. Director (Zach Nasits) collaborated with the team to translate three scripts to screen. Each spot required something special and he worked alongside crew fine tuning the details enabling a cohesive vision across the campaign.
Casting director (Michael Druck) populated the senes with amazing talent that included 43 principal actors and 18 secondary roles and extras. Whether we were filming in a kitchen or a hill country vista, our actors roles were supported with the right location that were scouted, permitted and licensed through the location scout (Peter Torres.)
Cinematographer (Angel Barroeta) and his camera team (1st Asst Camera: Ryan Zarate, 2nd AC: Marco Rabadan) always had fresh takes and new angles that pushed the rest of the team eagerly. Shots were captured in various modes ranging from handheld, to dolly, gimbal or aerial drone shots.
Without the Art Department design (AD: Susie Hamilton, Props Stylist: Wayne Dalchau and Assist Le Dominguez Green) each spot would not shine individually or as boldly as they do. On-screen actors’ wardrobe, makeup, and hair was stylized to perfection so that when we called “action,” everyone looked their best. (Wardrobe Stylist: Vanessa Lerma, MU/H Stylist: Zachry Smith, Vanities Asst: Ariana Alonzo)!
The Grip and Electric team ensures our look and feel is exposed with the right tonality. Day time, night time, dusk, or sunrise, they played key part in our on-screen aesthetic. (Gaffer: Ron Meneses, BB Electric: Homer Martin, Key Grip: Greg Lomas, BB Grip / Drone Operator: Jesse Wolter, Grip/Elec Swing: Chris Cogswell).
Last but not least, big thanks to the people who saw this campaign from the initial spark throught the finish. (Exec Prod: Murray Breit, Line Prod./Prod. Mgr: Fernando Cano, Prod. Coordinator: Smiley Leiva, 1st AD: Tim Smith, 2nd AD: Justin Casas, Editor: Jeff Chesnut, Composer / Sound Designer: Jason Murgo, Production Assistants: Ryan Sultemier, Wes French, Adam Dominguez, and Mallory Warman).
Thank you again to all of our crew. While you work happens behind the scene, we recognize your talent on screen.
